Специалисты подготовили архитектурно-градостроительную концепцию и согласовали ее с губернатором Югры. Разрешение на строительство уже выдано. Во время работ авторский контроль также будет осуществлять Институт «Север».

Часовню построят на территории автостоянки у КТЦ «Югра-Классик» в центре города. Место выбрано неслучайно: здесь в годы гонений были расстреляны 603 человека. Ранее на этой территории находился поклонный крест, также здесь совершали панихиды по погибшим в годы репрессий.

Мемориальный комплекс будет включать часовню и стену памяти с бойницами под светильники, лампады и свечи. Между ними разместят мраморные плиты с именами и надписями всех расстрелянных и репрессированных.
