Согласно распоряжению, соответствующий нормативный акт должно подготовить Министерство культуры. Дата праздника уже определена – 17 января, в день рождения первого народного артиста СССР и одного из основателей Московского художественного театра Константина Станиславского.

В правительстве пояснили, что праздник будет посвящен представителям самых разных направлений творческой профессии: артистам театра, кино, цирка, музыкантам, эстрадным исполнителям и другим артистам сцены.
