Власти одобрили идею ввести уголовную ответственность за осквернение памятников, посвященных погибшим защитникам Отечества. Законопроект уже получил поддержку в правительственной комиссии, сообщает РБК.

Если изменения в Уголовный кодекс примет парламент, за действия вроде жарки сосисок на Вечном огне, приклеивания листовок на мемориалы или нанесения надписей на памятники может грозить штраф до трех миллионов рублей, принудительные работы или лишение свободы сроком до трех лет.

Инициативу подготовило Минюст по поручению президента Владимира Путина. Как отмечает издание, в документе указано, что в последние два года зафиксировано более 370 случаев надругательства над воинскими захоронениями, памятниками и стелами. Многие из них совершались из хулиганских побуждений или ради «хайпа» в интернете, нередко − подростками.
